How Amtsorakel works

Amtsorakel has not been published yet. This guide shows step by step how the app will work — the illustrations are reconstructions of the planned interface, not screenshots. The app itself is in German.

Step 1 of 5

Photograph the letter

Lay the letter flat, hold your phone above it and press the shutter. That is all it takes — no scanner, no uploading from a computer.

  • Good light and no shadows: that is when the analysis works best.
  • Multi-page notices: after each shot the next page is added, up to five.
  • No photo to hand? An image from your gallery works just as well.

Step 2 of 5

Understanding

Officialese becomes short sentences. The analysis always answers the same three questions — in the same order, for every letter.

  • What is this? What the letter is actually about.
  • What does it mean for you? What is being asked of you, and by when.
  • What happens if you do nothing: the consequences the letter itself announces.

Amounts, reference numbers and deadlines appear as separate sections below — each with the passage where they were found in the letter. Every analysis is marked as an AI analysis.

Step 3 of 5

Securing the deadline

If the app finds a deadline, one tap moves it into the deadline watch. It stays there until you tick it off as done.

  • A reminder 7 days before and another 2 days before, at 9 in the morning.
  • Each reminder can be switched on and off individually.
  • Done? One tap ticks the deadline off — and unticks it just as easily.

The reminders are scheduled and triggered on your device. There is no push service and no push token. A detected date cannot be edited by hand — you can accept a deadline, tick it off, or delete it.

Step 4 of 5

Drafting a reply

For the reply there are templates: choose the type, fill in your details, generate a draft. The text stays freely editable.

  • The choices are objection, extension of a deadline, payment by instalments, and a query.
  • Whatever you leave blank stays in the draft as a placeholder in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Copy the finished draft, share it, or pass it on as a PDF. Sending it is up to you.

The templates are help for helping yourself, not legal advice on your individual case. Check the draft before you send it — and for complicated matters, or ones with serious consequences, get advice from a lawyer or an advice centre. Your entries only go into the letter; the app does not store them.

Step 5 of 5

Finding everything again

Every scanned letter sits in the vault, the app’s archive: with sender, date and the next open deadline on the card.

  • Search by sender or title — even months later.
  • Every document can be renamed so that you recognise it again.
  • Deletion is possible at any time: single letters, or the account with all its data.

And then?

Help with understanding — not legal advice. Amtsorakel explains, reminds and prepares — deciding and sending are yours.

Amtsorakel is in development. There is no launch date yet.
